University of Tsukuba Associate

The University of Tsukuba Associate is an individual or group who associates oneself with the various activities of the University of Tsukuba and supports the university at one’s own initiative in order to further promote the various activities of the University of Tsukuba. This is a system where these associates contribute to the creation of an open university as persons who espouse the principles of the university. Special treatment is to be given to those who are recognized as associates.

Contributing Support Associate

An individual or group who provides support through contribution is called a contributing support associate. Special treatment is to be given to those who made contributions that exceed a certain amount.

Privileges of the Contributing Associate

Company or Groups 500,000-4,999,999 yen 5,000,000 yen or more
Associate Name Associate Platinum Associate
Privileges Use of the University Library Valid for 5 Years from the Date of Recognition Valid for 10 Years from the Date of Recognition (Renewable)
Use of the Welfare Facilities such as the University Accommodation Facilities
Participation in University Events, etc.
Issuance of Parking Pass for Visitors Parking Lot (During Visits)
Issuance of Free Cards for On-campus Parking Lot Valid for 10 Years from the Date of Recognition (Renewable)
Supply of University Publications (Tsukuba Daigaku Shimbun, etc.)

Notes:
The conferment of a title and recognition as a contributing associate is made through the letter of appreciation.
In addition, when a recognized contributing associate becomes a merit commander, the said person may not be reacknowledged as a contributing associate.

Activity Support Associate

An individual or group who provides support by offering knowledge and skills for free is called an activity support associate.
