University of Tsukuba Associates
The University of Tsukuba Associates program has started to work in tandem with supporters of the university activities in order to realize our vision to be a university which is open to all within and across borders.
The University of Tsukuba Associates may include community residents, former faculty, staff, students and parents of current students as individual members, and companies, chambers of commerce and industry, regional councils, community groups and alumni associations as corporate members. While those who share their knowledge and skills in the university activities are registered as skills-based volunteering members, contributors who made more than a certain amount of gifts to the University are registered as contributing members.
Contributing members
Contributing members are those who made more than a certain amount of gift to the University of Tsukuba Fund. The best contributors are honored as platinum contributing members.
A contributing member has right for receiving privileges for 5 years after the member registration. A contributing member with the title of Contributing Navigator is not eligible for extension of privilege providing period even if the contributor has promoted to Merit Commander.
A platinum contributing member has right for receiving privileges for 10 years after the member registration. A platinum contributing member is eligible for extension of privilege providing period and we will extend the period with a personal request from the contributor.
Current faculty, staff (including part-time employees) and students are excluded from this program.
